Suddenly, I am free to write! The children are knocked out after an early morning trip to ICA to collect Nina's passport. The other two just needed their photos to be updated. The things children talk about can sometimes make a mother squirm. This was what happened at ICA this morning.

Counter Girl : Number One...( OK, so I am kiasu and hate crowds. So I dragged my children and reach ICA at 8.00 am..and we are the numero UNO customer)

The mother with a sleeping baby in the sling, the father, Ani and Nani walked up to counter 18.

Counter Girl : OK, the passport is ready. Check the details please.

She gazed down and saw the children.
Counter Girl : Oh, 3 girls?

Mother : Yes.

Nani : Oh, there is another girl. Her name is Hanisah. She is in school.

Counter Girl : Tak tanya pun....(she smiled at Nani)

Nani (in a loud voice) : Oh, my mother just bought for me princess Disney underwear!

What has underwear got to do with the PASSPORT???? The father don't know where to look. If he was blushing, the mother cannot see under his dark skin. The mother just wanted to say...can you please shut up? But of course, being the ever so graceful mother....she just smiled and said "Oh look! Nina looks so cute in the passport." Then thanked the counter girl and walked away.

Then somewhere in ICA, the mother managed to tell the child....Underwear is NOT a conversation topic! Oh well, Kids say the darnest thing!
